Lanzarote
Lanzarote: summer all year round.
Any time of year is ideal to visit this island in the canaries.
Enjoy its warm coastline, packed with contrasts. Be sure to explore its volcanic landscapes of solid lava. The stunning Timanfaya National Park is like a journey to another planet.
Lanzarote
Lanzarote is one of the oldest islands in the Canaries. It is the result of volcanic activity that began in this part of the Atlantic Ocean 22 million years ago. The passing millennia have taken care of moulding its landscapes and structure, giving it truly spectacular countryside, a UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve.
Its warm year-round climate means that you can discover the island's wonders in any season, while you also enjoy the excellent range of accommodation and services on offer. Access to the island, by plane or boat, is via the capital, Arrecife. To get around the inland part of the island, you can either hire a car or use the regular bus services, known locally as "gua-guas". This is a convenient way of getting to know the island, given that its two furthest points are only 71 kilometres apart.
You can also travel to the other Canary Islands by air or by sea, using scheduled inter-island transport services
